Orange Creamsicle Sugar Scrub With Honey

Orange creamsicle sugar scrubBet an orange creamsicle sugar scrub flavor isn’t something you come across every day.

But that’s exactly what we’re making today! And so far, I can tell you the smell is out of this world delicious.

But careful, it’s not to be eaten. It’s to be used as an exfoliant for your skin, your body, your face, your lips, you name it, you can use a sugar scrub for a brighter and more even complexion.

Now, I’m an avid DIYer, and a sugar scrub ‘craft’ is one of the easiest and most useful things you can make.

Not to mention they also make great gift ideas!

If you’ve got some free time this weekend and you absolutely LOVE oranges and everything creamsicle, this is definitely a sugar scrub you need to try at least once.

I had spent a day creating a couple of other sugar scrubs that I have up on the blog, and then I got the idea to create this sugar scrub recipe since my SO had brought some fresh oranges home.

I really wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out but little by little it came together nicely.

Usually, I get some common sugar scrub questions like:

What type of dye can I use in my sugar scrubs?

A skin-safe natural dye set can be a great thing to have in your arsenal. It’s vegan, gluten-free, skin safe, and it doesn’t leave harsh dyes on your skin.

You can always take the easy route and use basic food coloring. It works just as well and washes off without leaving streaks (unless you use a ton of it and let it sit forever).

How long does sugar scrub last?

In my experience sugar scrubs last about a month in the fridge.

After that, they get a bit old, and by then I’m already making a brand new batch.

Make sure you’re always sanitary when you make your sugar scrubs, that way you stave off any unwanted germs that might start growing in it if you leave it out for too long.

Orange creamsicle sugar scrub directions and layering in mason jar

To get the ‘creamsicle’ look I simply packed a nice even layer of a separate mix of sugar scrub (that you can find in the recipe below) and leveled it with a small spoon.

It’s a pretty simple detail that can add a lot of personality to your scrub.

The bow is twine or jute you can find at your local craft store or dollar store. I cut off about two 25 inch piece of it, tied them in a knot around the neck of the mason jar, and then tied a nice and tidy bow on it for an added look.

You definitely don’t have to do this, but if you’re a DIYer like I am, then it makes for a really pretty scrub you can keep or give away to a best friend.

Free printable orange creamsicle sugar scrub labels

This sugar scrub DIY project couldn’t be complete without creating printable labels for it.

This time around I created two labels. One is your traditional round label with the sugar scrub name on it.

And the other one is an image of a creamsicle popsicle you can simply cutout, hole punch, and tie onto your scrubs.

Each label is approximately, 2 in. X 2 in. in size. You can instantly download them for FREE below and get crafing!
